Hi

I would like to propose a feature that will make i18n much more usable.
When viewing a node, there is a "translate" button, next to the edit button. It would be great if that button displayed a number next to it, showing how many untranslated versions of that node there are.
ie the buttons above the node would look like this (if there were two untranslated nodes):

[ View ] [ Edit ] [ Translate (2) ]

im sure it would be simple to do if someone wants to propose a patch

Seems possible with 'title arguments' or 'title callback'. See http://drupal.org/node/140311 for more information.

Moving to core as the translation.module creates these menu item.

Drupal core is moving towards using a “main” branch. As an interim step, a new 11.x branch has been opened, as Drupal.org infrastructure cannot currently fully support a branch named main. @milos1234, Thank you for the idea!

In the 15 years this has been open there has been little support for implementing this idea. Since the proposal doesn't met the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. I am closing this issue.
