google does a better job than the inbuilt drupal search and the documentation tab. The documentation menu is too much for me to find the right page, but google comes to my rescue.
Google is usually fruitful, but the first place to look for a module's documentation is through the 'documentation' link on the module's project page. ;-)
Not all module's have it or use it-- but many do and it's only one click so it's worth taking a quick look.
