Every event list, month or table search produces a huge amount of log entries. Is there Any way to reduce this logging?

Those log entries are generated by the (IMHO misnamed) calendarsignup.module from event (which I don't maintain and don't have access to fix). Moving to the right queue...

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
