Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Hi.
For personal reasons I'm no more able to continue the development of this project.
It is too much work for a person only and I'm not able to find sponsors to continue
the development.
I'm looking for a new maintainer whom to pass the project.
Thanks, Roberto.

benvoss CreditAttribution: benvoss commentedHey Roberto great job on the code. Worked with it last week and made some test modifications to id, very straight forward.
How many hours did you commit to this project in the last month in average? I would be interested in maintaining the project, but would discontinue the 5.x development of this module.
Let me know what you think.

Roberto Gerola CreditAttribution: Roberto Gerola commentedHi Ben.
Yes, version for Drupal 5 can be discontinued also now.
Well, it is difficult to say how many hours per month the project would require, because
it depends on the features you are willing to implement.
At now I spent countless weeks of work.
At now integration with the new features for attributes (default flag) should be tested
and completed.
Another developer donated the code for team member feature, but it must be integrated.
There is no "critical" bug that requires a lot of effort at now.
5 hours per week for normal maintenance could be enough.
Thanks for your interest.
Roberto

squ1rr3l CreditAttribution: squ1rr3l commentedI'm using this now, and it has nearly everything I need. I've already started looking into the modifications that I would like to make, and they seem to be high other users' feature requests, too.
It sounds like no one has much time to devote to this (myself included), so discontinuing Drupal 5 version sounds very prudent to me.
Ben, if you are going to take over, you can count on some help from me. Hopefully others will help as well. I'm willing to take over or help a maintainer, either one, but I'm quite new to Drupal development, so I have some of learning curve before I could start integrating any code.
Thanks, Roberto, for all your work on this. It has proven useful to me, and I am not willing to see this project die.

I've posted a notification in the following STORM thread:

There's also a good wiki on the topic of "Project Management System Planning & Discussion", for ideas to take on in future development:

DamienMcKennaJust a thought.. given that D5 is still in active support, I recommend leaving the D5 module still available for download and if nobody is interested in supporting it anymore maybe adding a note to say so on the project page.

Perhaps it would help the person who did take it on if we all had a good crack at the issues queue. I imagine that there are a fair few issues for which we could easily supply patches / answer queries.

asak CreditAttribution: asak commentedsubscrbing. i'm not much of a coder - but i'll try to help make it easier for whoever it is who's going to maintain this module.
we are using storm as an internal head quarters, and would like to continue.
Great work Roberto!

Magnity CreditAttribution: Magnity commentedI have just gone through the 5.x issues and tried to judge an appropriate close for them.
Just to add to my previous message in #6, I would also be willing to look at maintaining (or preferably co-maintaining), but it would be a couple of months before I could do much for it other than monitoring the issues queue.

ALL: Please take heed of the encouragement to take a crack at the issues queue! The more people who contribute by doing this, the more effective development will be. Thanks!
