Is this version compatible with drupal 5 as the 6.x-1.x-dev?
If so what changes we have to do in order to work?

Following the previus instructions we now get this error,

Fatal error: Call to undefined function drupal_install_schema() in /sites/all/modules/phpbbforum/phpbbforum.install on line 11

this link for ver 1.0
6.x-2.x-dev is not backported yet.
