It would be great if it could be possible to work together with the profile module and have the mobile number presented as part of a profile section, instead of having its own page.
One solution could be to select a profile field to use for mobile phone number and then hook into the user/profile form for validation/submit and... I don't know how to handle the number confirmation.
Any other ideas? Other input?

Yeah - on a side note, I tried to do a user import to populate my database with a list of users to add them to my sms list, it was not supported.
What is the best way to upload say... 1000 users to alert using the SMS Framework.
I believe this is going to be a big feature in the future when this module gets more popular.
There is also the idea that your contact list of users doesnt have to be Drupal user but act as an address book.
How would mass upload of both cases be handled.

I am new to drupal.
I too would like to link to profile module. Display of personal information would be better grouped on one tab. And make it easier to use the variables as tokens to fill in for example a webform with default values.
Unless someone can tell me what i am missing. I am trying to make a webform component use the sms user number as a default value. Can someone tell me what the token value is? Or if this is possible.
