After enabling the Checkbox Validate module, we receive errors when people edit their user profiles, saying that they need to accept the terms & conditions of use. However, 1) this field doesn't show up on user/uid/edit for them and 2) according to the database, they already accepted them when their account was created.

This bug is currently making it impossible for people to edit their user account settings on our site. Upping to critical.

Turns out this issue was caused by us having Formfilter active on the user profile page to hide the Terms & Conditions box. The Terms & Conditions box must actually be visible on the page for the form submission to be processed properly.
