The nodes which had viewfields defined still display them; however, I do not see the viewfield link in nodes to select a view either for these existing nodes that already have viewfields defined or new nodes.
I have attached an images which show the viewfield configuration.

somebodysysop commentedI had "force default" checked, assuming that this would automatically place the view into the node. It didn't. So, when I unchecked this setting, the viewfield link appears in the node, and I can select the view which is then displayed after the node is re-saved.
Problem solved.

garbo commentedIf you have "force default" checked, the make sure you also check: "Use a common default value for all nodes if the user does not override it on the node form."
Otherwise (for me) the view isn't inserted into the node, even not if this field is mandatory.
