Is there a way that you can have a user ranking system. So the more they post the higher they rank.

Yes, there are modules that can help you with that. http://drupal.org/project/userpoints is one of them.

Ya I already got that but I need something that ranks you based on the amount of points or posts you have. So you can give them something like military ranks.
