I recently discovered that I can't change a menu items weight by dragging it. I can however, change it manually using the 'Weight' setting on the menu item edit screen.

Any ideas why this would be?

Can you be a little more specific? Are you saying the interface works as it should (i.e. you drag the menu items) but after saving the items are back in their original positions?
Or did you mean something else?

Sorry about that. Yes, I can drag items around as normal, but when I save the changes, no changes are made - the items all go back to where they were before I dragged them (i.e. I can't change the order of my menu items).
This is only when dragging though, I can successfully change the order of menu items by manually editing their weight value if I click the 'edit' link for a menu item.

The problem was caused by the 'Suhosin' PHP extension installed on the server. My web host fixed it for me.
