I just signed up with Fatcow and they apparently don't support cronjobs. There's no web interface feature for cron jobs on the control panel, so what do I do??

I saw it was a good host, but apparently it doesn't offer something as basic as cron jobs. They have great tech support so far--very fast. Should I switch to 1and1???

Not 1and1, I try to setup a site in 1and1 VPS hosting when they provide 3 months free service, and it looks very slow.

I think anhosting, hostmonster are good choice, and both of them provide you with cron jobs, you can get more from Best Drupal Hosting

Please avoid 1and1 at all cost, they might be one of the biggest web hosting company (along with GoDaddy of course) but this doesn't make them the best option for your website.

Here are some recommendations if you're looking for a cheap web host (remember you always get what you pay for):

- InMotion Hosting (great business hosting plan and service but more expensive)
- HostGator - uses cPanel, you can setup cron jobs and install Drupal with Fantastico
- JustHost - uses cPanel and Fantastico too
- BlueHost / HostMonster - They're the same company, just different business names - uses cPanel and Fantastico too.

1&1 Dedicated hosting is pretty good actually, it's cheap and pretty reliable. But there shared hosting, or vps hosting is really not a good choice.

Cron is not supported in vDeck. You can launch cron jobs offsite.

For cron job triggering, https://drupal.org/project/EasyCron may help. It works with third party cron job service.
