Steps to reproduce
  1. Create a new profile field with a new profile category
  2. Delete the new profile field
  3. View the edit page of any user (e.g. user/1/edit)
Observed behavior
  1. The deleted category appears in the list.
  2. Selecting the deleted category presents “Page not found”
Expected behavior

The deleted category should not appear in the list of profile categories.

Workaround

Empty the cache.

I'm seeing this in 6.10.
