hey there,
I've been following the upgrade handbook in order to painlessly upgrade to Drupal 6.
now activating only the Dynamic Rendering module resulted in a crash. thankfully I'm using Demo Site as well ;)
the upgrade consisted of deactivating every other module, so I'm pretty sure it's not a conflict with any of them.
any thoughts? if you have any suggestions you'd like to test, I'm willing, so drop me a line.
cheers,
Luciano

sunIf you encounter a WSOD, then you should always look for the actual error message in your server logs or enable error reporting. See http://drupal.org/node/158043 for details.

luco commentedwell, where do I look for to find server logs? can't be on the website, since it went blank due to the WSOD.
please (if you're not too busy) include step-by-step instructions on phpMyAdmin.
thanks,
Luciano

sunSorry, I'm too busy and I don't see why the explanations in the handbook page if referred to are not sufficient?
luco commentedsorry: with a WSOD on, I can't really look into server logs unless I can find myself in phpMyAdmin. the WSOD won't revert even pressing the browser's "back" button.
from a phpMyAdmin perspective, a Drupal DB is like a Minotaur's maze to me. now if there's a handbook page on how to manually switch off a module, I'll gladly follow it.
anyways, applying the patch in http://drupal.org/node/120308#comment-1208931 worked for me, so this issue can be closed.
I'm still around for testing, if you need anything ran through lemme know. or you can tell me how to chip in on the project.
cheers,
Luciano
