Hello fellow Drupaliers!!

I have been trying to clean install Drupal for a while now maybe going on 6 days and whilst my knowledge of its quirks and adjustments needed has vastly increased and improved, I am still having issues with one key thing which for the life of me I cannot work out at all.

The issue is when I finally complete installationa nd have setup the admin superuser on the screen and am taken into the various menus etc that are accessible, at this stage if I logout and try and log back in as the admin user I get a simple you are not authorised message and if I try to change the admin password directly on server database I still cannot get in.

Does nayone know of a bug that locks the admin out after install if so please please let me know as I am at my wits end!!!!

My webserver is ix web hosting - hopefully this is not the reason why I am suffering..:o)

Many thanks
Uppili

I'm new too, that sounds like a horrible problem. I'm sure you've tried it but you can't get the site to email/reset your password? Give me some more details and maybe we can work this out together.

Thanks for the reply at least someone's there!

Its not a site issue I dont think maybe something to do with Drupal install or maybe just an issue with my SQL database.

Is et everything up ok, but the minute I logout of Drupal I cant get back in even as ADMIN user.

Is there anyway the databse or something in the php files lock me out after a logout?

What do you specifically need w.r.t. details?
