O'm displaying my node content via the panels pages. However, I am not able to make any changes to the display of the terms fro each node. I've tried custom, hide, and node_object and none have had any impact.

Do you mean that panels is showing the terms when it shouldn't, or vice versa?

Yes, panels is showing the terms in the default format even when I try to hide or display inline.

It sounds like panels is grabbing taxonomy terms itself.
Are you showing a full node in panels, or a specific taxonomy terms item?
Also, is this on 5? I don't know that we're going to add features on 5.
