Can't get sIFR to affect text

Issue Summary

Hello,

I installed the Dynamic Rendering module per the directions and created the .swf file for my font and imported it to Dynamic Rendering. As far as I can tell, everything is configured the way it should be. However, I can not for the life of me get it to affect any text in the page. I know sIFR itself is working, as the preview for the font shows up when managing the rule. I've tried applying it to a specific css rule, I've also tried to apply it to more general rules such as span, no luck on either front. I've looked at the markup and sIFR's javascript and css are being loaded properly. I'm really confused as to what I'm missing here, especially as there are no mentions of similar trouble in the issue queue. This is a fresh Drupal 5.16 install, only other modules installed are admin_menu, devel, cck, views, & panels, none of which are really configured or used at this point aside from admin_menu and devel.

The only thing I can think of is if the module doesn't work right for some reason if it's stored in /sites/default/modules as opposed to the primary /modules folder. Is there any known issue with this? I'm really confused at this point as I have done everything by the book and can't get it to affect any text on the site.

I'd definitely appreciate any help that anyone can offer, as I am pretty much out of ideas.
