Event block month will not change when arrows are clicked

when I am logged in as my root user this is not an issue, however any other user can only scroll through months on the event block if they are on the main page of my site. Any other page the arrows will link them to the calendar page. I have no idea why this is happening. I am using the latest Dev release of event.
