why not put link directly in description page?

Why not put link to http://www.yubico.com directly into description page? I started to understand bette only when I'm gone to demo page, then after some clicks I unerstanded something more.
Pratically this is an alternative way to login also as admin using our some temporary passwords right?
Useful for example if connecting not from our computer and especially if from public computers.
