The description of the taxonomy term is not displaying

I am not sure, but it seems that it is the content taxonomy module that prevents the description of a taxonomy term on a page. When I go to http://example.com/taxonomy/term/xxx, there is only the title xxx and a list of posts associated with this term, but no term description. If it is the module that suppresses the description, is it possible to fix it?
