A patch to port node_privacy_byrole has been committed to HEAD (4.7).

It'll be tagged with DRUPAL-4-7 when I'm confident enough that the module does the same thing it did before the port.

If you want to try it out, just download node_privacy_byrole.module from HEAD. .module is the only file to have changed.

The changes to the file are shown in the attached diff output.

I tryed in CVS version of Drupal and it works nice.

Thank you that you remake it for 4.7.

So far so good on Drupal 4.7-beta6. Site was just upgraded from 4.5.x and previous node permissions were honored. Also of note, that this is on PostgreSQL.
