I tried everything but nothing shows up
how in the world did you guys manage to make it work

You can enable the module from Content management -> Taxonomy -> Edit vocabulary -> Taxonomy Super Select
From there you have the option: "Enable Taxonomy Select for the Vocabulary Content Types Below: "
