I have Mollom 1.7 installed on a Drupal 6.10 site. Keys are verified and the module reports that it is working properly.
Several users have complained that they weren't able to subscribe to the site's newsletter (via the simplenews block). I have tried myself and get the following error every time:
Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted.
There is no option for the user to submit a CAPTCHA, it is simply blocked. I have tried changing the "Protect newsletter issue form" setting in Mollom config to "CAPTCHA only" but that doesn't affect it.
Any suggestions to get subscriptions working? Many thanks.

ob3ron commentedThis is vital functionality for me -- I am having to disable Mollom on all sites with simplenews (which is most of them). I looked at creating a patch along the lines of some of the others in the issue queue for other modules, but unfortunately it's beyond me at the moment.

dries commentedOdd, when in CAPTCHA-only mode, you should never get "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted".

ob3ron commentedDoes the "Protect newsletter issue form" apply to the simplenews module?

sunI think this should be fixed with the latest version.

grasmash commentedWouldn't adding Mollom to the "Protect newsletter issue form" just screen out spam when the admin created a new Newsletter Issue? I don't see how it would affect the actual sign up. Although I would love it if you could apply Mollom's spam protection to the Simplenews newsletter subscription form.
