Could ListenUp Be A Widget For FileField?

I don't know how filefield works and I don't know whether ARF's java form posting is compatible with filefield. So I don't know whether this is a daft or good idea, but just in case ...
I was wondering if ARF might take advantage of the functionality in the filefield CCK module.

Filefield's project page mentions 'Extensive API for extending field widgets'. I wondered if ARF/ListenUp might be suited as a widget for adding=recording and displaying=playing files using Filefield.
Perhaps I should be asking this question/request in the filefield issues?
Any ideas?
