When the search yields more than one page worth of results, page navigation tools are shown. However, they don't work. The links point to e.g. search404?page=1.

I believe this is fixed now. From CVS:

Fix for bug #41637. Instead of showing the results on the "file not found"-page, the user is redirected to a search page with a message telling the user what happened.
