Hello,

I would have liked to control the placement of my comment form and comments, yet they dont seem to be present in contemplate.

For example, I would like to place comment form before trackbacks, which do exist in contemplate. Any ideas?

I can't find the comments/links output in Contemplate either (I'm using 5x). I've looked at a numebr of posts regarding this issue but have yet to find an answer - other than creating a node.tpl.php file for the content type I want to modify.

the comment form and comments are not available in the node object, therefore you won't find them. if you want to change the order/placement of these items I would suggest you use Panels.
