Can the content of the post be displayed next to the author pane information instead of beneath it? The space above the text in the post text area is extraneous.

Sure... Just don't use the stacked styles. The other ones are all side by side.

Sorry for any confusion but I'm not using a stacked style, the text in the post doesn't start until after the author pane information. I could take a screenshot if you want. I really appreciate this module but this kinda bugs me.

Ok sorry, I just tested in IE and it works like I want. I guess it's a problem with the way Firefox displays the forum.

It doesn't do that in Firefox normally. Probably something in your theme.
