Would it be possible to integrate the two separate search forms (content & files) into one search form, to make it easier for the end-user to search across the whole site (content+files)?

There is a module called "search_all", which gives this to a degree, but there is no official D6 release (I got it working using Deadwood) and the results are not terribly satisfactory).

However, the older search_attachments module gives a devent stab at this when combined with the WebFM module, I'm trying to get that updated to work well with Drupal 6.
