Originally installed 5.x-4.2 and PDF saving worked fine. Upgraded to 5.x-4.3, still worked fine. Saw the new 5.x-4.4 release, installed it, now PDF saving does work. Downgraded back to 4.3 and 4.2, uninstalling both times, still wouldn't work.

Did some investigation. Will not work on Firefox Mac or Firefox Win XP. Firefox Win XP will let Save As properly, but Firefox Mac won't. Internet Explorer 7 XP and 8 XP both complain that "Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. the requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." The link WILL work in Safari Mac, Safari Win, and Chrome.

Please assist or check code for this bug. Thanks!

I just tested this again, and it does work, which makes it 99% probable that the problem is on your side. This is reinforced by the fact that 4.2 doesn't work for you anymore, and the fact that this behavior was browser-dependent in your tests. NOTHING in the module is browser dependent, so something weird is going on in your setup.

Try flushing all the caches to make sure that you're actually requesting the page from your Drupal server.

Anyway, I need to know which library you're using (dompdf or TCPDF), if the latter I need to know the version. And a link to your site would help A LOT.

Must have been a fluke. Today it's working fine.
