Just a suggestion, but it would be nice to have the option to place the block twice with different settings. In my instance it could be useful to have a single DVD on the sidebar, and also a list of 3 or so dvds under other products when the scroll to the bottom.

Making this a task for the 6.x version of the module. If this is something you want backported to 5.x, let me know. I'm trying to maintain focus on current versions, though, and keeping 5.x in a bugfix-only mode. (Bounties will convince me otherwise, of course.)
