Hi,

I am new to Drupal. I am setting up a community, collaborative blog similar to DailyKos & MyDD. I am looking for the following features and want to know what modules or settings to use:

- Two levels of posts:

- - Diarybasic post with comments.

--Feature Story, appears in main column, written by 'Feature Authors' with comments

- Three display areas:

--Diary a scrolling Diary list on the sidebar that updates constantly with 'most recent' on top,

--Recommended List list on the sidebar that shows Diaries that are promoted by (admin or automatically via # of recommendations or # of comments),

--Feature Story written by 'Feature Authors', displayed in main column, most recent on top.

- Two levels of users:

--Diarist basic profile info, capable of submitting a 'Diary' that will appear in the scrolling feed mentioned above,

--Feature Author full profile info, admin rights to moderate posts, capable of writing 'Story' content to appear in the main column automatically.

- Recommendations for diaries and comments.

I will gladly take any info on existing modules, config or code changes.

My webhost can work on any of the SQL, Apache, etc on the backend and I am comfortable messing around either through the Admin portal or through FileZilla in the ftp.
