Issue Summary
Since various items are sold by various sellers, and items from various sellers can be purchased on the same order, is it possible in the various invoices, shopping cart etc, to have "sold by xxx" where xxx is the seller with a link to the sellers profile page?
Since were trying to create a marketplace, where sellers are responsible for shipping and are responsible for dealing with various questions of customers, we want it to be clear at every level which item is coming from which seller. That way it is easy for buyers are to direct questions/concerns directly to the seller.

thinking this further, maybe even "sold and shipped by..." would be better :)

This is a good idea. Patches are welcome, or I can look into implementing this when I get around to the next release.

As I sell events and admissions, I wonder if we could get generic and say "provided by..."
If I can get a handle on a few other items, and if nobody else is working on this, I can help.

Per #3, perhaps the best solution would be to have a field in the marketplace settings section where each store administrator can provide the language such as "provided by" or "sold by" or "sold and shipped by" etc. Even the option to turn it off, i suppose would be good.
I'm willing to chip in some funds to help...

Not only would it be nice to have a "sold by.." but also group the items in the shopping cart and checkout by the seller, and list the shipping cost per unique seller under each grouping.

Canadaka, yes I agree! that would be a big plus.
Here are some thoughts:
If an item is non-shippable or downloadable in all instances of the product (i.e. receipts, cart etc) it should say "sold by..."
If an item is shippable it should say "sold and shipped by..."
Items should be grouped together by the seller and shipping costs should be calculated by seller. I imagine an item and shipping subtotal for each seller and a grand total as well.
Seller's names can be links to their respective profile pages.

This seems like it would be pretty useful. Maybe I'll take a look at this in few weeks if no one else does.
