Prepare template like Mediawiki

I hope some of us familiar how to make and call template In Mediaiki. In mediawiki we can prepare template using template:example command and then we can call this template to our pages content whenever needed.
My question: Is it possible in Drupal, can we create a template and stock it and call in the content page anytime?
Is there any module or any tricks or anything? Please share.

One way to do this would be to make the 'template' a content type and then use either views for nodeasblock to place it on the proper pages.
