Hidden fields not exported - was this solved?

Thanks for this module BUT I find hidden profile fields are not exported to the csv file as reported in 2006 in the issue queue (http://drupal.org/node/83310). The answers in this now closed issue can be interpreted that this was solved and however I still find no hidden fields are exported.
I would be grateful to know what is the 'official' status is of this issue, perhaps the module maintainer can answer. Looking to use this module for synchronising user data with an email service provider (email list) and relevant info is stored as hidden profile fields that users should not see!
