Hi,
I would like to be able to display the location of some users (role) (pins with some information of the user) on a google map inside Drupal. The location information would be taken from the registration page. The idea is to show to the user how many people a registered to the site and live near you.
I coulnd´nt find a module for that.
Or maybe it would be a collection of modules?

http://drupal.org/project/gmap + http://drupal.org/project/location (you'll need both).

I just tried these out myself. You can have several locations per user, and you can have different markers for different roles. Looks very promising!

I finally could manage to create the gmap integrated to the users location.
It took a while and a few more modules (Devel and CCK location).

Is there a tutorial somewhere? I install these modules but impossible to display the google maps widget in node... :(
