This probably requires an upgrade to mollom's underlying service, but it just struck me that one amazing feature of mollom could be to provide protection against fraudulent ecommerce transactions.
There are companies that do this now like http://www.maxmind.com

dave reidThis would be a great feature. It would likely require a major re-factoring with #245682: Enable use of Mollom for any form and/or #412760: User interface brainstorming. So for now, I'm going to set this as postponed.

sunThanks for taking the time to report this issue.
However, marking as duplicate of #717500: How to add mollom to any form?.
You can follow up on that issue to track its status instead. If any information from this issue is missing in the other issue, please make sure you provide it over there.

gregglesI think the difference is that protecting an e-commerce transaction is somewhat different from protecting spam, though that's a server level issue and not a module level one.

sunoh, ok, wasn't entirely clear. So duplicate of #245364: Provide API to programmatically validate content (integration with Trackback module) instead ;)
