How to force blog posts to Register in a menu section

Hi,

I'm finishing off a site and have come across the following problem.

I have a menu in which there is a community section.
In the community section there is a link to the Blog list.

Community
----------- blog
----------- a
----------- b etc

When a user goes to the Blog list the Community Section stays expanded.

However when an individual blog entry is accessed from the Blog List the Community Section in the menu collapses as the individual blog posts do not know they below to the Community Section.

I am wondering how to make the new blog posts let the menu know that they are part of the Community section.

One way is to add each blog post to the menu when it is posted and make it disabled.
But this way seems insane and I am sure blog posters won't do this.

The section idea is to do this somehow which Taxonomy, where all items with this Taxonomy know they are part of the Community section and so the Community Menu remains open.

I have heard of a Taxonomy Menu module but I am unsure if this will do it.

Also, by the sounds of it I would need to rebuild the entire menu structure again, which is also bi-lingual.

Any wisdom out there?
