The enewsletter module looks like a great idea. I also want to include a calendar of upcoming events in the newsletter (chronological from today, for the next x days/weeks). It would really round off the newsletter well if this was available.

Well you can include events already. Just include whatever your event content type is in the newsletter via www.yoursite.com/admin/node/configure/types

Thanks for the feedback Robert. I am aware that I can include events in the same way as other content types - which would mean I would be able to get recently added events, in the order they were added I suppose??

But I really want to list events that are coming soon (some of these events may have been added long ago, some more recently) and I want to sort them by event date (not the date they were created). Is this possible?

Yeah, I can see that would be a very cool feature.

At some stage I'll make it possible to configure the order in which nodes get added to the newsletter, by:

* creation date
* term weight
* event data
* content type

Any other criteria to sort by?

That would be fantastic, Robert! I can't think of any other things to sort by (but I'm still learning about Drupal).
