Nodes may be assigned multiple terms within a vocabulary. When the vocabulary is rendered via this taxnav module, they will appear as many times as terms lie within a selected vocabulary.

Adding DISTINCT to the query should fix it. Same thing as was fixed in cvs in the query ~20 lines down.
