When I try to create any content, the authored by field displays the real name rather than the username of the person creating the content. this returns an error upon content creation saying that the username does not exist. I am assuming that this would be fixed by excluding the form field, but I can't seem to figure out what field should be excluded (I am pretty new to Drupal).

Please try the -dev version. This is not happening on my site and work has been done to prevent that problem.
