Issue Summary
Go to node/add/project-issue/project and the right user block (on top) doesn't show the "My projects" menu tree. I saw this somewhere else, but cannot remember where.

This is either the D6 menu system, or views, or both.
#2
And what is the fix? Menus shouldn't change while browsing... ---> Changing menus are bad usability.
#3
If I knew the fix, I'd fix it. My point is I don't think this is important enough to to spend time debugging it so it can be fixed. If you do, debug it yourself and provide a patch. Otherwise, I'm done here.
#4
On a whim, I just tried this locally -- it works as expected. So, this appears to be a d.o-specific menu problem. I still think it should be "won't fix", but perhaps one of the D6 menu folks has an idea what's be going on. It might be a sign of deeper trouble, which is about the only reason this is worth looking into...

I found the other place where the My projects link is missing. It's a project issue queue http://drupal.org/project/issues/[module name]
#6
Marked #429492: Disappearing 'My projects' link and #473470: "My Projects" link as duplicates of this issue.
#7
Marked #489186: My Projects link in navigation block only visible on some pages as a duplicate of this issue.

If I understood dww, this must be caused by the locking issues in D6 and Drupal.org infrastructure need to install the update. This is why this stays here.
#11
I have marked #742156: 'My projects' link is not always shown as duplicate of this report.
#12
Is d.o running on D 6.16? This issue may be solved, as the locking framework may fix this issue... ?
#13
The statistics pages also show this inconsistent behaviour...
To recap, so far I have noticed the following inconsistent (non-)appearances.
The 'My projects' link appears on:
but does not appear on
#14
#15
Could you please explain how this is by design? Are the menus links intentionally inconsistent?
#16
This must be a bug... as we have the menu locking in core since a few versions and I guess/hope d.o runs this new versions... this issue should be gone a way, but it isn't. I guess someone with d.o access need to debug this now.
#17
To add to the weirdness: The "My projects" link is on
http://drupal.org/project/issues/project, but it's missing from
http://drupal.org/project/issues/devel

~2 years are really a long time and nobody can analyze this from outside. Nothing has changed and it seems not to solve themself.
#19
The redesign is live. There is no longer a right sidebar navigation menu at all on drupal.org.
