Vote for Drupal: CNet Webware 100 Winner

Every year, CNet goes to the people and asks what the best Web 2.0 applications and services are. The people have spoken, and Drupal has been nominated, along with 299 others. To put Drupal into the coveted top 100, we need you to vote. Voting continues until April 30, so don't wait, vote now.

Drupal won in 2007, and again in 2008. Can Drupal win in 2009? We sure hope so, but it will take your help. Please take a few seconds of your time to vote and help make Drupal a Webware 100 winner in 2009. Drupal is in the Social Networking & Publishing category.

In addition to voting you can put this fine graphic in your own blog posts encouraging others to vote for Drupal as well. Please link to either of the following:

Thank you!

Sure! Drupal will continue its success story

It surely will. Drupal is the best CMS around. It let me feel the real power of a CMS.

What are doing Drupal, reddit and Twitter in the same category? I want to vote for the three of them!
Also they are completely different things.

Not to mention Facebook. The deck is stacked!

...the list is not alphabetically ordered; I found Drupal near the bottom right of the list. (It may be created randomly or some other method, so it might be in a different position for you.)

Information Architects Japan has just released the final beta of another version of its yearly Web Trend Map, which is in itself a masterpiece. I'm happy to see that the map lists Drupal amongst the 50 most influential domains in the Web (in position number 43). Congratulations!

Voted but in my opinion either Facebook and Twitter is in the wrong category or Drupal is.

Facebook and Twitter are not CMS applications. They are websites built on a CMS platform based on a social networking theme.

Someone has got it wrong.

As others have pointed out, the categorization seems very odd this time around. Social Networks and Social Networking Software shouldn't be in the same category. What if Facebook or Twitter had been built on Drupal or Joomla? How would they be categorized then?

My favorite is Wordpress.com (with Wordpress Platform). Which one are you voting for? Seems quite unusual.

Very nice write up, got much learning about the process management and the way to make the so called 'theme' to simple online and easy to approach. All links were very informative to understand the inner working and to explore the knowledge.
