I just recenlty noticed the MimeMail used with SimpleNews stopped sending HTML newsletters. When I edit a node and say to send a test newsletter, all it does is update the node, but doesn't sending anything. If I tell it to send plain text, it works fine. If I enable the the CSS combiner module of MimeMail it works (sends an email), but if I turn it off it doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks :)

Thought I'd bump this. I still notice this strange issue. I disabled the module (CSS compressor) and no test emails can be sent, but if I turn it back on everything is fine.

Nevermind. I found a hint in this issue #696848: Please update README.txt to add mail.css in default theme

Turns out that if you disable the CSS compressor, you need the mail.css file in your theme folder. Once I added that everything worked fine.

You have to get the e-mail even if you do not use the compressor. With 6.x-1.0-alpha1 this works fine, you should try that and report back if this issue still stands.

Same problem. Creating newsletters with Simplenews module. Mime Mail doesn't send the HTML Newsletters if the CSS Compressor isn't activated. Plain text messages get send any time.

Using Mime Mail 6.x-1.0-alpha2 and Simplenews 6.x-1.2.
