In the current poll module, if you choose anonymous voting, the IP address is saved. Worse, it is also displayed to the full extend if you allow to show the results. This must not be, as it is a violation of law to display users` IP-addresses without their approval in many countries. In some it is also forbidden to just store them for non-technical staff.
There should be simple hide function to x the last two IP-ranges xxx.xx, at least optionally.

They suggested to create another forum topic for this, but I see you have already done but without getting any response.
What I have done in my site it to disable the permission to "Inspect all votes" for this module, so now the "Votes" link is no longer visible to anonymous users.
