Using Opera 9.x, when I open some link in a new tab this page don't shows SimpleMenu. The problem is solved if I disable the option "Detect pop-up windows".

I think the problem is caused because Opera fills the Javascript "window.opener" object when I open a link in a new tab. This object is used by SimpleMenu to see if a page is opened as a pop-up. Maybe has a better way to verify if a page is a pop-up, no?

I have a similiar problem. My Simplemenu disappears when i navigate to the site via a "target=_blank" link (in all browsers). Even if I then navigate to another link then back to the site within in this window or tab, the menu is still not there.

This is an option in Simplemenu. Deselect the detect "popup function".

I think that is a problem too and will look into whether it can be fixed. I'm not too sure that a script can make the difference between a pop-up and a tab though.

Thank you.

Title: SimpleMenu doesn't appear on pages opened in a new tab in Opera » SimpleMenu doesn't appear on pages opened in a new tab in any browser

Meant to also change the title... 8-)

I had an idea to solve this problem. Probably not perfect, but here it goes:

Whenever a window looks like a pop-up window, open a small pin that one can click to open the full simplemenu.

And as an extension we could have the pin to hide the menu too.
