no delete, so this update:
The next day, the block View was back to normal. Not sure exactly what caused the one day skip.
==============
original post:
I have a View which displays the title and teaser in a block of one node (in a series, most recent one) as it is published. This has been working every day, like clockwork, for several weeks until today. Today, it simply stopped updating; still displays the previous one, but not the most recent.
I've checked everything I can think of and cleared cache. There might be factors to look into, but the only difference with the most recent node, the one that should show up in the block today, is that the node was originally saved as "unpublished" but now that it is published, the block view should update.
I'd appreciate hearing anyone's ideas about this.

one day normal, then not; using scheduler module
Well, this is odd. Scheduler module was working fine. One day the scheduler module did not update, the next day it did. After that, it worked another day, and now it is not working. Making things worse is that even after manually publishing a node, Views does not recognize it and so does not update the block View. So, I'm not sure where the glitch is - obviously, Scheduler is the first cause, but the second problem is in Views.
Any ideas appreciated.
using Views, Scheduler, and Nodeclone
I also used node clone for those last several nodes that the View did not update when published via Scheduler. I'll go back to manually updating and see if the problem continues.
it was definitely node clone module causing the problem
without node clone the nodes and view works fine.
