I have a Drupal site that has multiple roles configured for different types of users. New users are manually created and are assigned to a single role. New users have been created for a role that has existed and functioned correctly in the past. These new accounts (as well as accounts with the same role) do not have the permissions that have been granted. We have verified the Permissions settings. Altering them does not seem to change the functionality of the role. It seems as if these new users have no access beyond an Authenticated User. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

the permissions are all role based.

so if the user have role A they get all permissions of role A, and not more.
yes by default they have all permissions of authenticated users, are you sure the users get the role you want?
