User Hompage Landing w/Welcome Message & Quicklinks to Certain Site Areas

Hey Drupal Community,

I was curious to know what is the best module(s) to install to be able to have users get the most out of their online experience. This is probably asking much but this is what I am thinking of a paid membership community...

When a user logs in to my site, they are greeted with a nice welcome message, then have the options to do some of the following.

In this area they can click a (button/icon/widget sorta thing) that they can then navigate to whatever the want to do (ie..add photo, change/update their email/address, edit profile, post in forums, download private forms, send messages to other users, add other users to their favorite friends, pay membership dues...) kinda like a myspace, but more of a professional member community.

Overall a really good customized user landing navigation page with all there info and whatever they might want to do when the log in.
