I was wondering how I can create and advanced user profile page as seen here . If so, how can it be done? I just can't figure it out.

I will particularly like to know if each user can have their own gallery displayed in their profile page. Just a replica of the link.

For the gallery page, you can achieve that using Views 2 together with Attachment display, where you can have a full node (page/block display) + thumbnails (attachment display).

To achieve more advanced profile, you might want to check out Advanced Profile Kit module.
