Just wanted to share a portion of my project. I am not programmer just someone with ideas - but happy to share that this entire site was built on drupal.

www.cricketerslink.com

Still looking for more programmers though who can extend my ideas on this site - with ecommerce functionality , blogs and team pages.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks!

I say the design looks neat and nice. I'm not familiar with your website's topic. So I can't comment on that.

It kind of taking me a little while to understand what your site is about.

Lol.. in a way your site is like mine. Confusing other people :) mind.

hehehe...

Your site break out the drupal's template tradition. Neat...

Who create these design for you? Maybe you let me know, so I can ask him/her to hack on my website too. LOL.. of course I pay. Depend on how much he/she charge though.

well i designed it myself the layout that is the colors etc and then had a designer just implement it. ( since i don't know diddly shit about programming)

Well the site is for cricket where people can find cricket clubs and meet other cricket players ( cricket is a sport incase you didn't know). Let's just say you are in some city and want to get intouch with the nearest cricket club - well cricketerslink.com allows you to post your message and make a cricket connection.

Think of it is a dating website just for the game of cricket.

So are you a programmer - what sites have you done.? I actually enjoy designing - it's a shame that I don't like programming.

Very interesting effort and being a cricket buff, I like it all the more.

I see that you have used flexinode for the four types of posts. But, how did you get those four blocks on the home page? And the node count in parentheses?

don't know to be honest. I hired a programmer who wanted to learn drupal - he did a good job. He changed his career after the project - ( haaa!! ) I am sure he had enough of the cricket site and drupal programming.

Stats is going to be a challenge. We moved http://www.gujaratcricket.com from Drupal to Ruby on Rails.

Concerned that it doesn't take advantage of resolutions 1024, 1440+

Looks quite bunched up, I'd experiment with a broader resolution. It looks like it was designed in the 90s to fit in with 800px resolutions. Great content but it runs the risk of looking dated before it gets started. Sorry :-(

Try a different theme perhaps. Zen would work well...
