Hi everybody,
I'd need some help or advice on implementing some kind of anonymous registration process on my Drupal site.
I know that 'anonymous' and 'registration' seem somehow being in contradiction to each other so I think an explanation is needed here.
BTW everyone being able to post anonymously is not an option in this very case because I already have more than 7,000 users willing to maintain their existing aliases. However for legal&privacy reasons I don't want to store their e-mail addresses anymore, nor even asking for it to future users neither.
I've already read the useful post on Drupal user registration without SMTP but it only solves one of my needs. I mean I'd like the whole site working as usual but with no need of any e-mail address living at the database.
Could someone over here -please- give me some guide or advice on how I could implement this?
I'm not a php-mysql expert myself so please be patient.
Thanks in advance,

Take a look at logintoboggan
Take a look at logintoboggan it may allow you to login with out an email. However there would need to be some work on the user module not to require it to be entered.
Also in some other places like requesting passwords will not work, and anywhere where a email is required to send something this will need to not send the email.
